Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 is proud to recognize 17 York High School students who have earned honors in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program. Five students were named National Merit Semifinalists, while 12 were recognized as Commended Students.
The five National Merit Semifinalists are Emma Browne, Dylan Golomb, Ryan Poulos, Stella Rosso and Ignas Zemaitaitis. These students will have the opportunity to continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships awarded in the spring.
District 205 also congratulates its 12 National Merit Commended Students: Emma Braathen, Madelene Braathen, Anders Dochoff, Jacob Ferreri, Grey Hopkins, Micah Jones, William Kellam, Jake Lisowski, Sophie Saldanha, Ryan Schwager, Ved Sule and David Taub.
The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes academically talented high school students across the country based on their performance in the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) and other program requirements.
