Welcome To Fine, Visual & Performing Arts
At York High School, the Fine, Visual, and Performing Arts programs offer students a wide array of creative opportunities in visual art, music, dance, and drama that are both curricular and extracurricular. The visual art program features courses in drawing and painting, photography and digital media, and clay and metals as well as several AP Art opportunities. The music program features various bands, orchestras, and choirs along with classes in AP Music Theory, piano, guitar, and music production. The dance program includes Dance 1, Dance 2, Concert Dance, and World Dance; any dance course can be taken for PE or Fine Arts credit. And in drama, students can participate in a variety of plays and musicals to gain experience in acting, stagecraft, and theatrical production.

York Auditorium
Renovated in 2024, the updated auditorium offers state-of-the-art features that will enhance student performances for years to come. Some highlights include upgraded seating, flooring, orchestra shell, lighting and stage equipment. The auditorium renovation project was part of the referendum that voters approved in 2018.
Fine Arts Week
Fine Arts Week (FAW) is an annual, week-long celebration of the arts. FAW features art fairs, presentations, and performances by students, alumni, and professionals. This much anticipated week culminates with York Live! - a showcase of York student talent.
