Visual Arts at York High School
The Visual Arts program at York High School offers a comprehensive and vibrant array of courses designed to engage students of all skill levels to help them find and develop their artistic talents . The program includes three clusters of courses: drawing and painting, photography and digital media, and three-dimensional design. Each cluster includes level 1, level 2, and Advanced Placement options where students can find their unique voice as an artist and explore their creativity through a variety of art-making media. Course offerings include drawing and painting, digital and traditional photography, ceramics and sculpture, jewelry and metalsmithing, animation, digital design, and art history. Visual arts courses take place in state-of-the-art facilities with top-notch equipment and supplies as well as robust digital resources like iPads, iMacs, and 3D printers.
