Kara Dollaske

Ms. Dollaske attended the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and received her Bachelors of Arts in History and Secondary Education.  She then obtained her Master's degree at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago in School Counseling.  Prior to joining the Dukes of York, Ms. Dollaske was a counselor and college counselor at Waukegan High School.  Ms. Dollaske also earned a Master's degree at Concordia University in River Forest in School Administration.  An Illini and Blackhawks fan, she also enjoys the immense school spirit that the Dukes have for athletics, fine arts and academics. Outside of school Ms. Dollaske enjoys playing tennis and ice skating.  She has been a competitive ice skater for 20 years in synchronized skating, a sport that not many people know about.  Check out some examples! Hopefully it will be an Olympic sport because it's been a World Championship sport for over 20 years!

Ms. Dollaske currently coaches the York JV1 Girls Tennis Team in the fall.  The JV1 team placed 2nd in the conference during the 2017-2018 school year and had an all time high winning dual record.  York Varsity Girls Tennis had their best finish in school history during the 2012-2013 season!  Team 6th place in State!
