Completing the Process
Beck’s Book Store Pre-Pack Option
Beck’s Book Store will be running the day to day operations of the York Bookstore and will again offer the Pre-Pack option to speed up the book sale process. Prepack allows families to pre-order textbooks and pick them up during book sales. Beck’s “Search by ID” function will allow families to access a student-specific list of textbook titles and required course fees.
Families interested in the prepack option can visit www.YorkHighSchoolBookstore.com. Site will be ready for orders July 10, and all orders must be placed by July 24th, 2017. Books and course fees will be paid on the day the books are picked up.
Paying for Textbooks, Chromebooks and Fees
Textbooks, Chromebooks, fees and yearbooks can all be purchased in one transaction per student with cash, check, or credit card (MasterCard, Discover or Visa). Families with multiple students, will have to bring multiple checks.
Financial Assistance Information
There are several options available for families in need of financial assistance:
District Financial Assistance for Student Fees and Books – Families that meet guidelines established by the District can receive assistance with fees, Chromebook and book costs. To receive assistance, the Request for Financial Assistance form must be completed and returned to the District Office with the required supporting documentation. If you are applying for deferred payment, please submit deferred payment paperwork by Friday July 24nd at 3:00pm to the Principal’s office. If you believe your family will qualify for Financial Assistance, please fill out the forms before registration. These can be turned into the Principal's Office.
Deferred Payment Form - English (YORK)
Free and Reduced Lunch – Families that meet the federal guidelines are entitled to free or reduced lunch. To receive assistance, the Free and Reduced Lunch form must be completed and returned to the District Office. The form can not be completed prior to July 17th, and must include financial information for July on the District 205 registration website or in the York Principals’ Office.
Additional information about the York Registration process:
All 9th, 10th and 11th graders will have a yearbook picture taken during book sales. Students should dress appropriately. Make-up dates are September 13 and 14 in the Commons.
Each student will receive an ID during registration which must be worn by the student at all times. The ID also serves as an activity pass. This pass may be used for entry into regular season home athletic events, concerts, plays, and to participate in intramural activities and clubs. Student IDs are also required to ride the bus and enter the cafeteria.
All students will receive their schedules during book sales on August 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.
Incoming freshmen, transfer students and athletes must have current physicals. Forms are available on the York website and at www.elmhurst205.org. An athletic physical does not meet the requirements for a Freshman Physical.
Due to a change in the State’s immunizations requirements, all seniors must provide proof of two doses of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine to the high school by the start of the 2017-2018 school year.

A staff member from York Food Services will be available during book sales to assist families and provide information regarding our food service options.
