Students who will be attending Prom on April 27th must arrive at York by 5:45 pm.  All York students must present a current York ID to attend Prom.  All guests must present a completed Guest Permission Form and a current photo ID to enter.  No bags, overly large purses, or water bottles will be allowed on the bus.  All school rules will be in effect during Prom for students and their guests, and noncompliance with these rules will result in removal from the dance, parental contact, and all appropriate disciplinary action.  Students may not switch buses at any point during the evening.

Attention students that applied to the FOG mentoring program for next year:  Check your school email - FOG mentoring decisions have been emailed to you.

In honor of AAPI month in May, Asian Youth Alliance is taking over as our hallway DJ and will play some music that represents the region and the cultures that we represent and enjoy.

Hey York! The best event of the school year is coming up! And what's that event you ask? International Fest! International Fest is an event in which all the cultural clubs show off all the awesome diversity and culture we have here at York! We'll have games, food, and performances so you definitely don't want to miss it! Check it out in the Commons during the lunch periods on Friday, April 26th! See you there!

Attention Seniors! Are you interested in speaking or performing at Graduation?  Please stop by the CCRC and sign up.

Speaking auditions will be Wednesday, May 1st after school. Musical auditions will be Tuesday, May 7th. If you have any questions, please see Mr. McGuire.

Hola! Spanish Club meets this Thursday after school in A221. We will be preparing for the International Fest and there will be snacks! We hope to see you there, all are welcome!

Death, Taxes, and having a blast at Ping Pong Intramurals...these are the only guarantees in life! See you Friday after school in the commons for some quality Ping Pong - all students are welcome!

Hey Dukes! As we get closer to prom, Empower wants you to remember how important consent is. Don’t be that Person is a campaign emphasizing the importance of consent, and Empower wants to recognize how the issue of sexual assault affects both men and women.  On prom, remember that gaining CLEAR consent in an intimate situation is always needed, and is an important part of a healthy relationship. Consent is always a yes, and never a maybe or a no. A person cannot give consent if they are inebriated, and being their date does not automatically give you the right to anything. This prom, practice the power of consent and make safe choices!

Hey Dukes! As we approach prom weekend, the Water Safety Club would like to remind everyone about the importance of staying safe around water. Too many people assume being a good swimmer makes you drown-proof. Too few people know that open water drowning rates triple at age 15, and remain elevated throughout adulthood.

Here are some important tips to remember this weekend:

1.    Water can be dangerous: Be cautious around pools, lakes, or any water body.
2.    Make good choices: Avoid risky behavior near water.
3.    Never swim alone, especially at night: Always swim with a buddy.

Have a SAFE and enjoyable prom weekend!
