ATTENTION ALL SOPHOMORES & JUNIORS: Want to earn college credit for your artwork? Take AP Studio Art!

If you are interested in taking AP Art next year, you need to submit a digital art portfolio application including 8 to 10 artworks to Ms. Kuharchuk (koo-har-chuck) by Friday November 1st. Application forms and additional information can be gathered from our AP Studio Art website. (https://sites.google.com/elmhurst205.org/ap-studio-art/home) Be aware our registration timelines have been moved up. Be sure to talk with an art teacher AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you have questions. 

York Special Olympics Basketball will be starting the first week in November.  If you are interested in participating in the Special Olympics Basketball program please make arrangements to attend an information meeting on Wednesday, October 16 in the College and Career Resource Center (CCRC). Peer volunteers will be meeting at 5:30 and athletes will be meeting at 6:00.

If you are unable to make it to the meeting please contact Coach Westy (swestendorf@elmhurst205.org) or Coach Wealton (twealton@elmhurst205.org) to get more information about the program.

Hey International club members! Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, October 23rd right after-school in room A392. It's our Halloween celebration so get ready for some fun activities! According to the Many Worlds interpretation, there’s an alternative universe where you’ve already joined Quantum Club. Why not make it this universe too! Quantum Club meets every Thursday in room A392. Contact Mr. Ramm or Karlene Stanton for questions.

Students interested in taking Career Internship, Invitation to Teach, Med Careers, or being a PE Leader next year should visit the Online Course Offering Book for more information about applications. Applications are due by NOVEMBER 4th, 2019. Parking applications for the three off-site programs will be handled through the regular parking application process which will begin in March. Please visit the Online Course Book or talk with your counselor if you have any questions. 

This week’s Friday Night Ice the Dukes take on OPRF... new to the SHL. This game will also be broadcast as it’s the SHL Game of the Week!!

Our biggest FUNDRAISING EVENT of the season as proceeds from this event/ auction/ raffle are donated to Cancer Research!

Do you enjoy French language and culture? Come join us at French Club. We will be meeting this Wednesday, after school in room A223. We will be enjoying French snacks, as well as participating in fun French activities. See you there!

Interact Club is collecting gently used dance costumes to donate to Travelling Tutus, an organization that helps children in orphanages, children's homes, foster care and hospitals experience the joy of dance. If you have used dance costumes and shoes in good condition, or, if you have  new tights you would like to donate, please bring them to room 278A. The collection drive will go through the end of October.  See Mrs. Stipe if you have questions.

Attention all freshmen:  Student Council need you!  We have several openings for freshmen only to join StuCo for the rest of this school year.  If you are interested, download an application from the Student Council website, fill it out, and turn it in to Ms. Fleming in room A323 by Friday, October 21st.

  • Science Olympiad meets after school Wednesdays in A 368
  • The York Chess team is still recruiting players as we embark on our competitive season. Come to room A368 after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays., or see Mr. Paschke for details.
  • Congratulations to the Boy's Varsity golf team on winning the IHSA Regional on Monday.  Senior Captain Matt Buckley was medalist at the meet with an even par round of 72.  State qualifier Zach Sutter finished in 3rd place with a 77.  Junior standout Sam Bartolone finished in 4th place with a 78 and senior captain Josh LaBounty rounded out the scoring with an 80.  The Varsity Boy's team had a great season winning the Fenton Invite, Batavia Invite, Hinsdale Central Invite, the Conference Championship and the IHSA Regional.  Congrats on a great season and good luck next Monday at the IHSA Sectional
