Hey International club members! Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, October 5th in room A392 right after-school. New members are always welcome! For more information, check out our instagram or contact Ms. McGowan or Ms. Kaniyaly. See you there! 

Are you interested in politics, diplomacy, or current events? Then you should join Future Diplomats of America: a club that meets every Tuesday morning at 7:10 in room C278 to discuss the biggest stories in news. On top of this, Future Diplomats of America will hold field trips throughout the year for its members where they can hear from world-renowned journalists, UN ambassadors, and even US congressmen! The first meeting will be held on September 6th. For more information, reach out to Ms. Carlson or Mr. Konopka.

Congratulations to the York Girls Cross Country Team on their Championship at the Palatine Invite on the Varsity Level, 2nd Place Frosh/Soph finish, and 3rd place JV finish.  The Dukes are back in action on Saturday, October 1st at St. James Farm in Wheaton - come out and support the Lady Dukes!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone interested in performing or creating dances with the Advanced Dance Class should attend York Dance Company auditions. Auditions will be held in the Black Box Dance Studio after school on Wednesday, September 28. Come prepared in dance attire and ready to learn a contemporary phrase. Please reach out to Mrs. Jensen if you have questions.

There will be a general FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders of America) meeting on Thursday, September 29th in room A123 at 7:15 AM. If you are currently in or have taken an FCS class and would like to learn more about how you can participate outside the classroom, please stop by. We will be discussing important affiliation information. We hope to see you there!

There is an old saying that every election is determined by the people who decide to show up.  Seniors: it's your turn to show up and vote for your class president!  Please visit ThisisYork.org and watch the senior class president speeches, then choose the best qualified candidate.  Be sure to spread the word and encourage your peers to fulfill their civic duty!

The first meeting of the brand new Philosophy Club will be tomorrow morning, Thursday September 29th at 7:00 in A354.  Join us as we begin exploring topics such as whether we have free will!

Are you a trivia whiz? Do you like watching Jeopardy with your grandparents? Maybe you're looking to compete in the IHSA, OR you're trying to hone your quick critical thinking skills! 

Scholastic Bowl is a competitive IHSA club. We compete against other schools in head-to-head matches involving answering questions in a variety of areas like science, math, literature, art, history, politics, mythology, sports, and more! 

There will be a short informational meeting on Monday, September 26 after school in room A323. If you are unable to attend, or have any question, please see Ms. Metzler. (pronounced METS-ler)

Are you interested in art? Do you like to draw, paint, or design your own concepts?Come to Mural Club's first meeting, Monday September 26th after school in A143. We'll review our plans for this school year. Talk to Ms. Kuharchuk (koo-har-chuck) or Ms. Antonson for details.

The Amateur Musicians Club will be performing live on Friday, September 23rd at Brewpoint Craft -- music will start at 6:30pm.  Admission to this event is free, but you’ll have an opportunity to make a donation to the York Music Boosters.  All money raised will go towards supporting the music programs at York.  All ages are welcome to come out and enjoy some free music!

Congratulations to varsity boy's golfer Nico Ptak on earning all-conference honors at the conference meet on Tuesday.  Nico shot a 79 to lead the Dukes.  The varsity team finshed the season with a 5-5 dual meet record.  The frosh/soph golf team finished with a 7-1 dual meet record and was led at the conference meet by sophomore Caden Buenz who shot a 77.  Great job to all golfers and good luck next week at the IHSA regional
