  • Journalism club is back! On Tuesday March 2nd at 3:15, we will be having an in person refresher course and story idea session! The meeting is in room 315, but you are more than welcome to attend virtually! We can’t wait to get writing together again. Email Mrs. Lampa or fill out the RSVP document in classroom prior to the meeting if you plan to attend. 
  • Do you want to help the York community next year?  The application for Ambassadors is now available until Friday, March 26th.  Find the application on the Ambassadors webpage, under Clubs & Activities on the York homepage.  Applications are only online and will remain available until Friday, March 26th at 3pm. The application period only happens once a year.  Ambassadors help at all school events, help new transfer students and host 8th grade private school shadow students.  Questions?  Email counselors Ms. Dollaske or Mrs. Julian. 
  • Congratulations to York students who participated in the Family Career and Community Leaders of America regional virtual competitions on February 4th and 5th. FCCLA is a Career and Technical Student Organization that provides personal growth, leadership development, and career preparation opportunities for students in Family and Consumer Sciences education. Students developed presentations, demonstrated skills, and showcased knowledge in areas such as fashion, culinary arts, children's literature, interior design, and education careers. Students received individual awards based on their overall score. Additionally, the “Most Outstanding” (MO) distinction was awarded to the student who had the most exemplary project/performance out of all the competitors in their competition category. 
  • The following students received first place in their competition category: Maya Anikiej, Grace Wiesenmayer (MO), Sylvia Eastman McKenzie Morris (MO), Katherine Julian, Grace Libert, Kyra Szczepanek, Teresa Brown, Lindsay Gilfillan (MO), Jennifer Brand (MO), Mia Hoyos
  • The following students received second place in their competition category: Claire Worobec, Emily Doering, Savannah Nichols, Samuel Phillips (MO), Angie Crisanto, Maggie Templeman, Louise Baird, Ellen Freund, Ella Kennedy
  • The following students received third place in their competition category: Sean Wallace, Natalie DeSimone, Alexa Gilfillan
