MISSION STATEMENT

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives, working together to ensure America has a skilled work force. It helps each student excel.

SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations. It was formerly known as VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America).

Illinois Association of SkillsUSA, is a state association affiliated with National SkillsUSA, an organization serving high school and college and professional members who are enrolled in technical, skilled and service occupations, including health occupations. The Illinois Association was one of the founding states of the national organization in 1965. Illinois SkillsUSA has approximately 3200 members in over 125 chapters throughout the State.
