Ambassadors meet the 2nd Tuesday of every Month. Meetings are held at 7:15am or 3:15pm in the CCRC. The same information is shared at both meetings.
The application for the 2021-22 school year is now closed. The application is always available in the spring for the next school year. It is typically available in late February and closes the Friday before Spring break.
Ambassadors are selected based on the application and a discipline check by the deans. All current freshmen, sophomore and junior students are invited to apply to be an Ambassador for the following school year. Please note that Ambassadors are expected to complete 10 hours of school service during the school year. A variety of activities and meetings are available to Ambassadors to meet that requirement. If you have any questions please see Ms. Dollaske or Mrs. Julian in Student Services.
8th Grade Parochial School Shadow Dates
(Due to COVID, 8th grade shadow dates did not occur in 2020-2021) We are working to make Shadow Days happen during 2021-2022. Stay tuned.
Below will be the dates in which 8th grade private school students, who are residents of District 205, may shadow a current York student for the entire school day. We will allow up to 30 students per date on a first come, first served basis. Students will be assigned to shadow a York Ambassador. Ambassadors are trained to host students and acquaint them with many aspects of York High School. To request that your child can attend one of the dates, please click the link to sign up. If you have questions or concerns, please email Lisa Julian at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The York Ambassadors are comprised of sophomores-seniors who are committed to helping students transition to York.
Ambassadors assist transfer students on their first two days at York and stay in contact periodically to help students form connections at York.
Ambassadors also host 8th grade parochial students on designated shadow days to help students get a feel for York's classes and environment.
Ambassadors also assist parents, students and visitors in the hallways during large school events like Freshmen Night, Freshmen Day, Open House & Parent Teacher Conferences.
