  • Starting Monday March 18th students will need their school IDs to enter the cafeteria for their lunch. We will be using our automated SWIPE attendance system to allow students to enter the Commons and Cafeteria. 
  • If you need a new student ID please stop by the Student Station at Door #1 or Student Services to get a new ID made. 
  • Do you want to help the York community next year?  The application for Ambassadors is available from Friday, March 1st until Friday, March 22nd.  Find the application on the Ambassadors webpage, under the Clubs & Activities on the York homepage.  Applications are only online and will remain available until Friday, March 22nd at 10pm. If you want to be an Ambassador for the next school year you must apply by the March 22nd deadline.  The open application period only happens once a year.  Questions?  See Ms. Dollaske or Mrs. Julian in YSS. 
  • Hey International club members! We'll be meeting every Wednesday during March (March 6th, March 13th, and March 20th) after-school in room A390. We'll be working on our International Fest displays so make sure to bring your supplies! If you have any questions, contact Ms. McGowan or Ms. Kaniyaly. See you on Wednesday!
  • Hey fellow Dukes! Did you know that some of your male peers have the answer for solving the problems of the world? Did you also know that they have incredible talents and can be charming, confident, and elegant? Please come see these amazing junior and senior men compete for the coveted Mr. Duke title on Friday, March 15th at 7 pm in the auditorium. The audience vote will help determine the winner, so come enjoy this once in a lifetime experience!
  • All junior and senior audience members will receive a free raffle ticket for a post prom ticket that will be drawn during the event, so there's another reason not to miss this amazing night!
  • Breakfast for Lunch! Starting Wednesday, March 13th, Your favorite breakfast items will be available every Wednesday inside our pasta/Asian station. Omelets, Waffles, Pancakes, French Toast, Bacon, Sausage, Eggs
  • Trivia Club will have a special Pre-Spring Break Trivia Contest on Monday, March 18th. Please join us at 7:10 AM in Room A334. New members always welcome.
  • York’s Mock Trial team wins State this weekend in Springfield. York won the title after a tough completion Sunday evening against Glenbard East High School.  
  • In addition to the team award, York also received 6 individual awards. 
  • Lexi Lukose was the only student in the state to score a perfect score on the exam.
  • Katy Clugg, Lexi Lukose, Andrea Gurau received recognition for Best Attorney. While Katy Clugg and Anthony Aguilar received Best Witness. 
  • Maya Iyer, Sarah Martich, Ava Gehrke, Vanessa Bardoshi, and Elinor Kness all played key roles in the team’s success. 
  • Congratulations to all these amazing students and their coaches, Amy Mueller and Elizabeth Birchler. 
  • What an end to the 2018-2019 Fall/ Winter Season for the DUKES!
  • JV took the title from the North Shore in an amazing game at the last Friday Night Ice of this season!

  • This event is designed for students and young adults interested in professional careers that don’t require a four-year college degree. From apprenticeships and internships to local, non-degree work opportunities, students and their families will learn about a wide range of valuable, high-paying career pathways. Parents and guardians of current and former ETHS students and Alumni are encouraged to attend to receive information about the many post-high school pathways available. 
  • Career Options Night is open to the entire community, especially for 9th-12th grade students and their parents/guardians. Alumni and former students are welcome!
  • Bonjour Dukes! Do you love the French language and culture? Or just French food? Come to our next meeting TODAY right after school. As always, French snacks will be provided. See you there!
  • Hey Dukes! Want to test your luck? Find as many green shamrocks as you can around the school today and Friday. Label them with your name and ID number and place them in the box outside of Ms. Flemings room, A323, by 3:15pm Friday. Three winners will be drawn Monday and will receive shamrock shakes. The more you find the greater chance you have to win. Good luck!
  • Attention all Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors:  if you are interested in applying for a spot on York's 019-2020 Student Council, please check the StuCo website to download an application.  All applications are due to room A323 by Thursday, March 22nd.  For questions, see Ms. Fleming or Mr. Moran.
