Final Exam Season
With final exams around the corner and several students needing quiet places to study and work on end-of-year assignments, the LC will transition to a quiet study space beginning Monday, May 13 and extending through the end of the school year. Here are a couple of helpful reminders:
The LC is open at 6:45 each morning and stays open until 6:00pm each night except for Friday nights.
English, science, and social studies teachers are available to work with students most periods throughout the day. Click here to see who is available during specific periods.
AP Review Materials
With AP exams in full swing, we;d like to remind students that the Learning Commons has AP review books for each of the AP courses offered at York. Stop in any time the LC is open to either check a review book out for three days or simply to use it to study/review during a lunch period or study hall. The review books are located in the West Wing by the conference table.
What is the Learning Commons?
The Learning Commons is a place for students and staff to learn outside of the classroom. It brings together into one space most of York's academic resources and services, including the library, academic department resources and faculty, the test makeup center, study tables, and more. It offers multiple spaces for students to work individually, collaboratively, formally and informally, with access to traditional and digital information resources, faculty from several departments, laptops, desktops, e-readers, presentation venues, and more.
