NIU Student Athletic Training Workshop
33rd Annual Summer Student Athletic Training Workshop July 10-13, 2016 at Northern Illinois University
High School participants will be introduced to the profession of athletic training over this three day course, including basic human anatomy (including cadaver lab), preventative and immediate care of athletic injuries, and hands on laboratory experience.
Participants will participate in an American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED course.
We Need Your Support
The York athletic trainers are looking for donations of crutches to help re-supply the athletic training room. If you have a pair of crutches lying around at home please consider donating them to the York athletic training room. Donated crutches can be exchanged for a Gatorade product of your choice! Thanks for your support!
NovaCare Rehabilitation provides Sports Medicine Services to York High School
NovaCare is an active member in the York community providing a location for the transition student program, medical career course, and student athlete scholarship. NovaCare supports Boosters through activities such as the Green Scene fundraiser and the Green and White Scrimmage. Our physical therapists are dedicated to helping provide health care to our student athletes.

Five Myths About Concussions
Although many people have an idea of what a concussion is, there are still many myths surrounding this injury. As always, if you suspect your son or daughter is displaying signs of a concussion follow up with the athletic trainers or a physician licensed to practice medicine in all its branches in Illinois.
