Freshman Mentor Leadership Program

The Freshman Mentor Program provides upperclassmen the opportunity to work with freshmen in a leadership role. By working with freshmen on a weekly basis for the first semester of school, mentors help provide a supportive environment for these students as they being their high school experience. Candidates for the program undergo a rigorous application process. Those chosen for the program participate in ongoing training that focuses on leadership and communication techniques. All mentors are required to abide by the York Code of Conduct. The Freshman Mentor Program is listed on the transcript as a pass/fail class and is assigned .5 credit at completion.
