  • The bookstore is now accepting applications for Summer 2018 book sales.
  • Top Pizza taste of ElmhurstThe tradition continues with this year’s seventh Top Pizza Taste of Elmhurst   April 26, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Green and White Gym. Restaurants and pizzerias  will be showcasing their traditional ,specialty varieties and gluten free pizza pies.  The $10 entrance fee allows attendees  to taste the variety of vendor offerings and vote for their favorites in a variety of categories. For those students and staff that have after school activities, practices or games, it’s a great way to grab dinner before or after. 
  • Proceeds benefit District 205 Foundation programs that enhance education for all Elmhurst Public schools, including York! For more information and to purchase entrance fee ahead so you do not need to wait in line, visit www.elmhurst205.org/foundation_pizza
  • AP tests are almost here. Are you prepared? The Learning Commons provides AP test prep books for most subjects. From APUSH to Stats, we have you covered. Find the books in the east wing inside the Tutor Center. Good luck AP testers!
  • Juniors, the 2018-19 parking application is now available online on the York Homepage.  Any senior who is wanting a parking spot for next year will need to fill out the form. This includes seniors who are in invite to teach, med careers and career internship.  The parking application form will close on May 4th at 3pm
  • Attention all seniors!  Would you like to give a speech or perform music at graduation?  Sign up in the CCRC if you would like to audition a speech (of 3-5 minutes) or a music performance.  Speech auditions will take place after school on Wednesday, May 2nd; music auditions will take place after school on Friday, May 4th.  Are you an artist?  If you would like to submit cover art to be considered for the graduation program, art must be submitted to the CCRC.  All audition sign ups and art submission are due by Friday, April 27th.  Please see Mr. McGuire with any quesitons.
  • Attention all seniors!  Would you like to be involved in planning your graduation ceremony?  Then join the speech or music committee by signing up in the CCRC by Friday, April 27th.  Speech committee members will listen to auditions after school on May 2nd; music committee members will listen to performances after school on May 4th music performances.  Please see Mr. McGuire with any questions.
  • Hey International Club members! Our LAST meeting of the year is on Wednesday, May 2nd right after-school in room A390. It's our final party so bring some drinks and desserts, and we'll cover the main course! It'll be a chance to play some games, eat some good food, and say goodbye to our seniors. If you have any questions, just contact Ms. Kaniyaly or Ms. McGowan. See you on May 2nd!
  • Did you lose something???  Glasses? Keys? Jewelry?  Your Coat?
  • Please be sure to check the lost and found outside Student Services for any items that you have lost during the school year.  Also, check with Mrs. Baker at the front desk of Student Services for any keys, glasses, jewelry and/or electronics items as well.  Anything that is still unclaimed on the last day of finals will be donated or placed in the trash. 
  • Freshman! Your Acer Chromebooks warranty expires when the school year ends. If you have any repairs that need to be done on your Chromebook, please bring them in to TSI by May 4th. This will give TSI enough time to order parts if needed.
  • Students who will be attending Prom on April 28th must arrive at York by 6 pm.  All York students must present a current York ID and their Prom ticket to attend Prom and post-Prom.  All guests must present a completed Guest Permission Form and a current photo ID to enter.  No bags, overly large purses, water bottles or medication will be allowed on the bus.  The administration will be searching  purses, jackets and pockets of students as they board the bus.  If you will require medication during prom, please notify the nurses in advance and our nurse will hold the medication for you.  The dress code is formal.  Any student whose attire is deemed inappropriate by the administration will NOT be given a refund.  All school rules will be in effect during Prom for students and their guests, and noncompliance with these rules will result in removal from the dance, parental contact, and all appropriate disciplinary action. 
  • Attention freshmen, sophomores and juniors:  Please go to thisisyork.org this week to vote for your 2018-2019 class president.  Voting ends at the end of the day on Friday.
  • Students as we enter the final weeks of the school year, please make plans to make up your tests and quizzes in the Testing Center.  Please be aware there are a limited number of seats available after school and we have already experienced high numbers and have had to turn students way!  Please utilize the final few late start Wednesday's to complete outstanding tests and quizzes!   Also please sign up online for after school appointments on the York Learning Commons Website (its the blue button on below on the screen shot).   
  • Hey York! Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up really soon. Are you looking for a way to thank your teachers? From Tuesday, April 24th until Thursday, April 26th, RAYS will have a table in the commons during all lunch periods for students to write a message on a poster for a particular department or on a small note to an individual teacher. All notes, along with a lollipop, will be delivered to teachers by RAYS during Teacher Appreciation Week. Please stop by and take a moment to thank your teachers for all that they do for you!
  • Don't forget Dukes, Mural club still has a couple meetings left this year! Join us Mondays after school in A143 as we finish up all of this year's projects! See Ms. K for details!
  • The York Album Project will be celebrating the release of their fourth album IV with a concert on Saturday, May 5th, at Schuba’s Tavern in Chicago.  Music will start at noon and will include several performances by the York musicians featured on the album.  Tickets are $5 at the door. You can listen to IV on Spotify or on Bandcamp at  yorkalbumproject.bandcamp.com. Copies of the double-album CD will be available at the release party for $10. You can also pre-order a copy of the CD at the York Bookstore. Contact Mr. Gemkow if you have any questions.
