Kane County Mock Trial Competition
We are pleased to announce that sophomore Annie Nyberg was awarded Outstanding Witness for her portrayal of the defendant at Saturday’s Kane County High School Mock Trial Competition. Congratulations, Annie and to both our Varsity and JV teams for stellar performances at our first competition of the season!
2012-2013 Law Team
York Law Team takes 1st Place in the Northwest Suburban Mock Trial Invitational!
The York Law Team competed in the 14th Annual Northwest Suburban Mock Trial Invitational on Saturday, February 27th in Rolling Meadows. York took home 1st Place in a field of 20 teams (with 7 of the 12 state finals teams competing) for the 2nd time in the past 3 years.
Only 2 of the approximately 200 students who particpated where honored for their excellence in the knowlege of law, professionalism, and performance. York swept both of these awards as Jissy Cyriac won the Best Witness Award and Eric Moreau won the Best Attorney Award.
Congratulations to all of the York Law Team members who participated and helped to bring home the 1st Place Trophy. The team will now prepare for the Mock Trail State Finals in Springfield the weekend of March 12th.

Congratulations to the York Law Team for a 3rd Place finish in the DuPage Regional Mock Trial Meet. Although only the top two teams in each regional advance to the State Championships, As a result, York received a wild card entry as one of only 12 teams that will compete in the Illinois State Bar Association Mock Trail Finals the weekend of March 12th in Springfield. It was a great showing against some of the top teams in the state.
2010 York Invitational
The York Law Team will be hosting the YORK INVITATIONAL on Saturday, January 9th. The meet will include two rounds, beginning at 8:30 and conclude around 12:00 pm. The following schools will participate with both an A and B team:
York - Elmhurst ♦ Timothy Christian - Elmhurst ♦ Glenbard East - Lombard ♦ St. Charles East - St. Charles
The public is welcome and encouraged to watch some of the finest squads in the state compete!
